How to place an order;
Making a purchase is simple. Just browse in the shop and add any items that you wish to buy to your basket, changing the number of items as required. After you have finished your selections, go to the "Checkout" section. You will then be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
Our Products;
All the information on the knitandwear.co.uk website is accurate to the best of our knowledge. We will correct any errors as soon as they are brought to our attention. We provide colour names, descriptions and swatches to make your shopping experience as easy as possible. We try where possible to ensure colour representation is as accurate, but due to different monitor set ups, the colour that you see may not match exactly the actual colour of the yarn. If a product you have ordered is not as described, you may return goods to us in a complete and resaleable condition for a refund (please see Returns and Cancellations.)
Payment Information;
Payment may be made by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or debit card (Visa Electron, Visa Debit, Maestro, Solo). You may send your credit/debit card information via phone, or SECURELY over the Internet. If you wish to pay by cheque, please contact us at sales@knitandwear.co.uk. Please allow 5 working days for a cheque payment to clear before goods are dispatched by us.
Gift Vouchers;
When redeeming a Knit & Wear gift voucher please quote the voucher number in the 'Enter any special delivery instructions' section under Shipping. Your order is accepted once payment is received. You will receive a confirmation of your order by email. Payments are made to Knit and Wear using the secure technology of WorldPay Ltd. All details are encrypted before transmission. Knit and Wear does not store any credit card details as all transactions are carried out on Protx secure servers.
Your Guarantee;
If you are not happy with your purchase for whatever reason we offer a 30 day money back guarantee. Your statutory rights are not affected. Please advise us in advance of any goods to be returned. The original delivery note number must be quoted. Please note that due to copyright reasons, we cannot accept books and magazines back for credit or refund. We reserve the right to charge a restocking fee of 10% on orders if returned to us for any reason.
Cancellations;
Customers located in the European Union have the right to cancel an order within seven working days after the day on which you receive the goods. Should you wish to cancel your purchase within seven days, please contact us in writing, either by letter or by email. All goods must be returned unused and in a saleable condition. Please return items to Knit and Wear, Wellside,Well Road, Newton of Pitcairns, Dunning, Perthshire, PH2 0SN, Scotland, and include the original delivery note. The cost of returning goods will be borne by the customer. We cannot accept liability for returned goods lost or damaged during transit. You are advised to wrap the product carefully to avoid damage and to return goods by recorded delivery, or registered post. Proof of postage will not be accepted as proof of delivery. We will then issue a refund in the same form of payment originally used for purchase within 30 days after we receive your return or 7 day cancellation notice.
Where a 'free shipping' order is part or fully returned or part cancelled Knit and Wear reserve the right to charge shipping pro rata should the order value fall below the prevailing free shipping rate.
Exchanges;
If you need to exchange any item of your order, you must notify us in writing or by email within 7 working days of receipt of goods. Exchanges to another colour, size etc incur a 10% re-stocking and re-shipping fee, please enclose a cheque to this value made payable to Knit and Wear. Exchanges should be sent to Knit and Wear, Wellside, Well Road, Newton of Pitcairns, Dunning, Perthshire, PH2 0SN, Scotland.
Damaged Items;
In the unlikely event that you receive damaged goods, please notify us in writing or by email within 7 working days of receipt of goods. Goods will be re-dispatched on return of faulty items at no extra cost to you. Please include a description of the damage together with a copy of the original delivery note.
Definitions;
In these terms and conditions the following words shall have the meanings given in this section:
"Goods" means any goods and/or material supplied by us to you and available for sale on this website.
